Fahmie A. Hamid’s first venture was PKAD Training Solutions, a private-based smart school provider. He reached out to primary and secondary schools in Selangor & Kuala Lumpur and implemented a fun-based approach to learn computers. His prominent project was via this company where he was able to change the way how computers were taught in schools by integrating the discovery-based learning approach and introducing the KNOW-WHAT, KNOW-WHY and the KNOW-HOW processes to the school children.
He then ventured into supplying and implementing infrastructure solutions to Government and Government-Linked Agencies, private & public universities, private companies in various industries including telecommunications, oil & gas, manufacturing, as well as local private and public schools all over Peninsular Malaysia via his company, Spektra Cergas Sdn Bhd for more than 10 years.
He helped a number of start-ups and SMEs by enabling them with tools focusing on technology management and investments. The industry that he worked with in this area are varied: F&B outlets, property management firms, advertising agencies, production houses, fashion stores, travel agencies, event organisers, car importers and security firms – both online and offline.
He also helped few Non-Profit Societies related to medical fields into setups and sourcing funds. He was involved as one of the key people to run events for these Non-Profit Societies. One of his notable project was the 1st Malaysia Healthy Ageing Congress, which ran in March 2012 in KLCC, organised by the Malaysia Healthy Ageing Society – the audience for the website itself was more than 2 million in less than 1 year from the date the website kicked-off. Audiences were from local and international delegates. Other events were the 1st and 2nd International Health Travel Expo, organised by the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council, an agency under Malaysian Ministry of Health.
In the Financial Services industry, he started off as an insurance agent in 1999, as a Takaful agent in 2011 and as a Unit Trust Advisor in 2012.
He is now known as a BUSINESS CONSULTANT, FINANCIAL CONSULTANT and TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT in his network.
